Hi, I’m Mika Pietrus—a professional motorsport photographer, Sony Professional Photographer, and SmugMug Ambassador. With a camera in hand and a passion for storytelling, I’ve spent years capturing the heart and soul of motorsport. From the roar of engines on the track to the camaraderie in the pits, my mission is to preserve the moments that define this incredible world.

I’m also the founder of Era Media, a motorsport media agency dedicated to creating compelling visual narratives. As the official photographer for Era Motorsport, I’ve had the privilege of documenting some of the most prestigious events in motorsport, including the IMSA Series, Historic Racing Series, Porsche Carrera Cup, and the iconic Goodwood events—Members’ Meeting, Festival of Speed, and Revival. My lens has also captured the thrills of the Le Mans Classic, Peter Auto Series, Arctic Lapland Rally, Baja Series, and the International Six Days of Enduro.

My journey began with a dream to merge my love for cars with my passion for photography. Starting with street photography and portraits, I eventually found my way into motorsport—a field many consider reserved for a select few. Despite the challenges, I carved my path, beginning with extreme off-road and rally raids before diving into both modern and historic races.

Vintage cars hold a special place in my heart. There’s something magical about the history and craftsmanship of these machines—their stories resonate deeply, and I strive to bring them to life through my images.

Throughout my career, I’ve remained loyal to Sony, a legacy that began with Minolta. Sony’s innovation has allowed me to push the boundaries of creativity, while SmugMug ensures my work is seamlessly delivered to my clients and fans.

Now, I’m taking my passion for motorsport photography a step further. I want to share my knowledge and experiences with aspiring photographers through online workshops and courses. Whether it’s mastering camera settings, finding the perfect composition, or editing techniques that bring your vision to life, my goal is to help others capture the essence of motorsport through their lenses.
